Dessian supports local young entrepreneurs
Local charity Young Enterprise and south Belfast based Dessian Products Ltd are partnering to ensure 100 students have the opportunity to explore the growing culture of entrepreneurship in Northern Ireland.
Dessian has almost 30 years of experience fabricating windows, doors and conservatories for businesses across Ireland and GB from their 60,000 sq. foot factory in south Belfast, employing 140 staff
Dessian has made a £1,000 donation to Young Enterprise to create the opportunity for 100 next generation entrepreneurs to develop their business skills by completing hands-on Young Enterprise Programmes.
Managing Director, Nigel Bothwell commented on the partnership. “Within Dessian we aim to create a culture where ideas are valued. By supporting Young Enterprise we are ensuring that this culture extends from the factory floor into the local community. This partnership will encourage young people to develop creative business ideas, be supported to make them a reality and ultimately to contribute to the local economy.”
Young Enterprise Fundraising Manager, Jennifer McGivern, said “It is only with the support of local businesses like Dessian that we are able to give local young people a head start in their careers forging strong relationships between classrooms and boardrooms. We’re delighted that Dessian have come on board and we look forward to seeing the impact of this partnership in the year ahead.”
