ActiKids take two awards at UK Finals
The Young Enterprise Northern Ireland Company of the Year ActiKids from Friends’ School, Lisburn, were celebrating last night as they took two awards at the UK Company of the Year Awards at BFI Southbank in London.
The group who created ‘Around the World in 50 Pages’,a children’s travel journal received the Production Award. The award was particularly fitting since their book was designed by the company’s in-house designer and printed locally.
The ActiKids managing director Jake Lewis also received the Founder’s Award. The award is presented in memory of Sir Walter Saloman who founded the charity back in 1962. The Founder’s Award is presented for leadership and personal development.
This is the first time in 20 years that a Young Enterprise Northern Ireland company has taken an award at the UK event and so we are delighted that the hard work and effort displayed by the ActiKids team has been rewarded on the national stage.
