Holywood golfers tee off for Young Enterprise
50 local golfers took to Holywood Golf Club to support entrepreneurship skills charity Young Enterprise on Tuesday 22nd September.
Accompanied by the man behind May McFettridge, comedy legend John Linehan the supportive golfers enjoyed the light-hearted round at the home course of Rory McIlroy raising £4455 for the charity.
Fundraising manager Jennifer McGivern was delighted with the local support for the charity. She commented “This is our first fundraising event of this kind so to see the genuine and enthusiastic support from local people, golfers and businesses is just fantastic.
“It costs £10 for a young person to take part in one of our practical entrepreneurship programmes, so we’re delighted to be able to use these funds to extend our reach as far as possible and promote a positive future for Northern Ireland’s young people.
“On behalf of Young Enterprise and all the young people with which we work I’d like to thank everyone who took part and our supporters who helped to make the event a success.”
