YE Weekly Challenge

Join us for a variety of weekly challenges that will require your thinking caps on and creative juices flowing whilst learning from home. Share your creations on Facebook and tag us using #YeWeeklyChallenge

‘Board Games’ Challenge

The challenge where you create your own Board Games.

Create your own board games from scratch. Think about who is your target market? Does it have a theme? How would it look? What would you call it?

‘Time Capsule’ Challenge

The challenge where you create your own memories during lockdown.

Write a letter to your future self and place these and a few small things like sweets or toys in a jam jar. You can then bury it in your garden and make a map so you can find your way back again in a few years’ time to dig up your time capsule or you can keep it somewhere safe in your home and even on display!

‘Sports Day’ Challenge

The challenge where you will be coming up with your own Sports Day event.

Get creative with your event by making a list of equipment you may need to compete and note down a timed schedule for your day. Remember, you can use these same organisational skills to make a fashion show or perhaps a disco at home.

‘The Restaurant’ Challenge

‘The Bright Side News’ Challenge

The challenge where you have a go at being a News Reporter and give your spin on delivering the news.

We want you to get your creative caps on and design your very own TV which you will use to communicate your positive news story. Following on from the trend we have set in other projects, we want you to use your problem- solving skills and source recyclable materials from your house to make the TV. Work together with a parent or sibling and get them to record you reading your news story.

‘Pebble Play’ Challenge

The challenge where you search your garden for stones and pebbles to leave your print on.

Following on from previous challenges we want to continue the trend of looking for items around the house and garden that can be up-cycled. You can paint and decorate your pebbles to tell a story, perhaps your pebble could include an inspirational quote/phrase from an entrepreneur or maybe you want to include a positive message for someone else to find.

We want to see inspirational stones and pebbles – share your creations by tagging the Young Enterprise NI Facebook Page using #YeWeeklyChallenge #Pebbleplay

‘Capture This’ Challenge

The challenge that will get you thinking outside the frame while creating your very own picture frame out of recycled lollipop sticks.

Following on from the trend of last week’s challenge we want you to get creative while recycling materials that you would often discard.

When your frame is complete, draw a picture/insert a photo of an entrepreneur or key worker that inspires you (for example JK Rowling/ Elon Musk/local entrepreneur’s/Postal-worker/Nurse) or you can insert an entrepreneurial word/quote into your photo frame. The beauty is that you can change what you want to display when you want to display it!!

‘SomeTIN New’ Challenge

The challenge where you bring your unwanted empty tin cans to life by making them into something creative and useful at home.

Everyday we throw away and recycle many unwanted empty tin cans. We now challenge you to get your creative juices flowing and up-cycle your tin into a mini flower pot, a desk tidy or perhaps you have a better idea?
