Young Entrepreneurs Impress NI at the Big Market Trade Fairs Across the Country
Young Enterprise’s annual Big Market Roadshow took place in February, igniting entrepreneurial spirit across the country. Student companies from schools across the country participated, showcasing their talents and products at the top shopping centres in NI.
The event served as a culmination of months of hard work for these young entrepreneurs. Participating in Young Enterprise the Company Programme, Team Programme, and QuickStart Programme, they gained valuable real-world business experience by setting up and running their own student companies, guided by the expertise of their amazing business mentors. From product concepts and developing their business plan, to raising capital, marketing, and managing all aspects of a business, the young people have been working tirelessly to bring innovative and sustainable products to the public.
The Trade Fairs provided a platform for these budding entrepreneurs to put their skills to the test. Young entrepreneurs honed their sales techniques, interacted with customers, and gained valuable feedback on their products. The atmosphere was buzzing with energy and enthusiasm, as students proudly presented their ideas and competed for sales.
The positive impact was clear to see. Not only did student companies generate an impressive £8,000 in sales, but they also gained invaluable experience, boosted their confidence, and developed essential entrepreneurial skills for the future.
The success of the Big Market Trade Fairs highlights Young Enterprise Northern Ireland’s mission to equip young people with the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the modern world. These events provide a unique opportunity for students to experience the joys and challenges of entrepreneurship, preparing them for future success wherever life may take them.
