Our flagship programme is the ultimate enterprise experience. Students set up and run a real company for a year with guidance from local business volunteers and have the chance to compete with other schools across the country.

Key Facts

✔️ Suitable for 15 – 19 year olds

✔️ Up to 25 students per company

✔️ Multiple student companies can run from the same school, college or centre

✔️ Flexible duration from 12-weeks up to one academic year

✔️ Students provided with support and guidance from a Business Volunteer (virtually and in-person where possible)

✔️ Access to resources and guidance on our dedicated platform, YE Online

✔️ Fulfil the skills element of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme

✔️ Used to support the Pearson Extended Project Qualification

✔️ Opportunity to gain an Ulster University endorsed exam


Learning Outcomes

✔️ Gain first-hand experience of the world of work and working as part of a team

✔️ Develop the qualities and skills that employers value and be able to evidence examples of these skills

✔️ Explore self-employment and entrepreneurship as a possible career pathway

✔️ Be able to provide evidence of valuable experience and skills development for future applications to education, training providers and future employers

✔️ Fulfil the skills element of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme
